Dave's Time

Tuesday, November 8, 2011

Aunt Shirley sent me Sue's husband, Dave's, time from running the NY marathon.  Looks like he did pretty good.

Dave did fine-his time was 4.20:39. It is pretty congested when they start running. they started at 8:00, but his wave didn't start until 10:40.

Grandma is now officially 70 years old.  It doesn't feel to bad and actually I think I'm doing pretty darn good.  I have so much to be thankful for.
1. Jesus loves me!
2. Grandpa loves me!
3 My family loves me!
WOW! I am Blessed!

Thought for the Day!

The best way to show your
gratitude to God and people is to
accept everything with joy. A joyful
heart is the normal result of a heart
burning with love.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRACY AND ALYSSA!
(Tracy is our son, Steve's wife and Alyssa is Steve's oldest daughter)
Today also is cousin Rosemarie's 80th birthday.

The pictures are of our trick or treaters we had tonight.  The family is Lyons, Aaron and Stephanie with their two girls, Emma the princes and Katie the pumpkin.  Cindy our 12 year old Amish neighbor is also in the picture.  She dressed up for Halloween but I'm not sure what her costume is.

The Lyons family live in the house where our neighbor, Bob, use to live.

Thought for the Day!
Lord Jesus,
cleanse us of those personal failings
which diminish our own peace
and the peace of those around us.
Keep our minds and hearts serene
so we may bring peace to all we meet.
We want to witness to peace.

MAGNIFICENT

The name describes this video.

MAGNIFICENT

Thought for the day:
We are called to withdraw at
certain intervals into deeper silence
and aloneness with God, to be
alone with him, not with our
books, thoughts, and memories but
completely stripped of everything, to
dwell lovingly in his presence: silent,
empty, expectant.

It's a New Year

Hi,  I know it's been awhile since I've written a post but I've waited all year to do this one.  Today my husband, Ralph, and I celebrated our 53rd wedding anniversary.

We had a wonderful day together as we do everyday.  I know it's hard to believe after being married for so long but we not only love each other we like each other.  Best Friends!

A gift from God was our children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and generations to come.  We are Blessed!
Thought for the Day:

We must contemplate God's
constant presence and his tender
love for us in the least little things
of life, and be constantly available
to him, loving him with our whole
heart, whole mind, whole soul, and
 whole strength.

Dog and Cat picture

I loved this picture a friend has on FB.  I just had to share this with you.

Thought for the Day!

Cheerfulness is indeed the fruit of
the Holy Spirit and a clear sign of
the kingdom within.  Jesus shared his
joy with his disciples "that your joy
may be complete" {John 15:11)
Our joy is a work of our generosity,
selflessness, and close union with God.

Quilt Show

Sunday, October 16, 2010

Thought I better send out a message so you all don't think I'm ailing.  I couldn't be better, Thank the Lord!

I took out a membership for a quilt show on the net called "The Quilt Show".  It is with a quilter I admire, Alex Anderson and her partner Ricky Tims.  They have such a Varity to watch and choose from that sometimes I get a little carried away but ohhhhh! how it inspires me to quilt which of course takes more time.

Thought For the Day:

We are infallible when we obey.
Ask the Holy Spirit to give us that
one grace.  Only Jesus can teach us
obedience, and that is by the reality
of his own example.

Marathon/half Marathon at Boston Mills

Sunday, October 9, 2011

Tim is our son-in-law
Kyle our grandson
Kasey our granddaughter

When I have news I will share with you all.  This morning Kasey ran the half Marathon with a time of 1:54.  Kyle ran a full Marathon and came in at 3:26 and Tim ran a full with a time of 3:38.  I have to mention when Kyle came to the finish line he ended by doing a cartwheel.  Tim's brother Steve was running the full but we only saw him at the 17 mile mark.  We didn't see him finish.  Amy, Steve's wife was also running but we didn't get to see her at all.  It was a beautiful day with temperatures being cool in the morning and 80 this afternoon.  Grandpa and I found two rocking chairs on the porch of the historical building and watched the runners pass right in front of us.  We did good!!!!
The Marathon was called the Towpath Trilogy in Boston Mills.  They also had a 10k run this morning.

Thought for the Day!

Let us be very sincere in our
dealings with each other and have
the courage to accept each other as
we are.  See and find in each other
the good, for each one of us is
created in the image of God.

Keyboard

Friday, October 7, 2010
Our computer had to go see the computer doctor today.  Somehow Grandma managed to hit the Shift key 5 times in a row fast and it put our keyboard into a one arm three finger handycap person function.  I'm not kidding!  It really was weird when it happened.  It actually locked up and I couldn't type any letters.  We took the modem and keyboard to our very nice computer person we know in Mantua this morning and by this afternoon we had it back up and running.

Thought for the Day

Thoughtfulness is the beginning
of great sanctity.  If you learn this
art of being thoughtful, you will
become more and more Christlike,
for his heart was meek and he
always thought of others.

coffee

Tuesday, October 4, 2011

Grandma had to much coffee today so I'm up a little late.  I love being awake, active and ready to swim a mile BUT not at this time of night.  I'm going to limit my coffee intake. Maybe!

Thought For the Day!

Truly he has loved me unto
death.  Do I love Jesus unto death?
How can I love Jesus whom I do
not see if I don't love my sister or brother?

Monday

Monday, September 26, 2011

Here we are again on Monday.  Love those Mondays!  I just love it when a day goes by and you know it was a productive day in serving the Lord and accomplishing work that you never have time for.

Thought for the Day!

Don't search for Jesus in far lands---he is not there.  He is close
to you; he is with you.  Just keep
the lamp burning and you will
always see him.  Keep on filling the
lamp with all these little drops of
love, and you will see how sweet is the
Lord you love.

Bus Trip

Sunday, September 25, 2011

Grandma was gone all day yesterday as I had an opportunity to take a bus trip to a large quilt show in Chautauqua, NY.  I left the house at 5:45 a.m. and returned home just before 9:00 p.m.  The gals I went with were Ruth Sheehan, Judy Toth, Barb Beijer and Peggy Bunner.  Peggy lives on Brosius road and I have never met her.  Can you believe that?  Kathy had told me her friend, Mim, was doing the same bus trip and maybe I would see her.  Well as it turned out Mim came on our bus and stopped and asked if the open seat was taken.  We said no and she said "My name is Mim".  I couldn't believe it.  So Mim was a part of our group for the whole trip.  Barb and Peggy went their own way at the quilt show and Mim was with Ruth, Judy and myself.  We had such a nice time and I have a new friend.

Today, Tori was Baptized at her church this morning.  Grandpa and I watched it on our computer since it was live streamed.  It was beautiful and if you get a chance ask Tori about her decision.  Congratulations Tori!

Today is John and Deb's Anniversary.  Looking forward to hearing how they spent their weekend.

Thought for the Day!

Jesus could have died as a king
and he could have risen from the
dead as a king.  He chose poverty
because he knew in his infinite
knowledge and wisdom that it is
the real means of possessing God, of
bringing his love down to this earth.

Thought for the Day!

Make us worthy, Lord, to serve
our brothers and sisters scattered
throughout the entire world, who
live and die in poverty and
hunger.  Through the service of
our hands, give them their daily
bread; and by our understanding
love, give them peace and joy.

Friday Night Movie

Friday, September 16, 2011

Sometimes you can look for something to watch on TV that has a thousand channels and can't find anything to watch and that was the case tonight till I found a 1982 movie called The Verdict with Paul Newman.  It lasted over 2 hours without commercials and it had an unexpected ending.  It was on the FMC channel.

Charity

Wednesday, September 14, 2011

Thought for the Day!

Jesus came to earth to give
charity its rightful place in the
hearts of men.  "By this," he said,
"men shall know that you are my
disciples, if you have love for one
another"---and this commandment
will last for all eternity.  True love for
our neighbor is to wish him well and
to do good to him.

Tuesday, September 13, 2011

Yesterday I went to Hartville with three of my friends and classmates.   It was crowded since Mondays are a big Flea Market day.  They had wonderful produce at reasonable prices.  The only thing I decided to buy was a watermelon.  Wouldn't you know they were on the last table furthest from where we came in.  I bought the melon for $3.00 and picked it up to leave and about fell over for how heavy it was.  I know it had to be at least 20 lbs.  I walked back with my friends who, also had their hands full of produce, and stopped part way and set it on a vendors table to rest.  I was politely told to remove it from his table.  I managed to get it back to the car in one piece.  I have to say my swimming has paid off helping me build a few muscles for when I need them.

We had a wonderful lunch at the Hartville Kitchen.  I especially loved the strawberry pie with loads of whipped cream for dessert.

9/11

Sunday, September 11, 2011

I just finished watching a two hour documentary of Sept. 11, 2001.  It's way beyond words and my heart goes out to everyone who lost a loved one and who witnessed this horrible attack.

Thought for the Day!

Whatever you do, even if you
help somebody cross the road,
you do it to Jesus.  Even if you give
somebody a glass of water, you do
it to Jesus.  Such a simple little
teaching, but it is so important.

I goofed

I went to take my shower today and put my bath mat in the tub "Upside Down".  I turned the water on before I entered the tub.   I stepped in and my feet stuck to the suction cups and I couldn't move them.  I finally worked them free and had to laugh at myself how silly that was.  That was a first for me.

Ok, If anyone can top that one lets hear it.

Accident

Saturday, September 10, 2011

I really haven't had much to write about till now.  We just had a little excitement on our road.  It happened while I was on the phone to Kathy so she got a play by play of what I was able to see.  First of all, I saw a police cruiser with lights on coming up the road and stopped in front of the house next to where Huzl's live.  Then I saw another police cruiser come up behind the first one.  While I was looking out the window I saw Grandpa walking down the hill.  I had no clue what happened till Grandpa came back in the house.  When Grandpa came in he said Phillip Schmucker, brother of Marty Schmucker who was the Amish man that lived across the street from us, came up the hill and fish tailed from the water that was coming down from the rain.  Phillip flipped his car where it landed on the drivers side down after going in the ditch.  Grandpa thought it was funny that there was 2 Garrettsville police, 2 Sheriff, 2 State Patrol, 1 fire truck and 1 tow truck that came for this one accident.  Grandpa talked with Phillip and he was not injured in the accident.

This evening I am picking up my 92 year old friend and taking her to Christ Community Chapel where Tim and Kathy go to church.  Tori will be singing and playing keys at the 5:30 worship service.  My friend, Kathryn, has been wanting to see Tori sing for some time.

Thought for the day:

Holiness is the greatest gift that
God can give us because for that
reason he created us.

Romans 10: 9,10,
That if you confess with your mouth,
"Jesus is Lord," and believe in your
heart that God raised him from the
dead, you will be saved.  For
it is with your heart that you believe
and are justified, and it is with your
mouth that you confess and are
saved.

Presence

Wednesday, September 7, 2011

What is the most important thing that happened to me today?????  Without a doubt it's spending time with God this morning.  I only wish I could give you what I receive when I commune with God.  It is so awesome how He talks to me in His Word.  If you haven't yet, meet with God in a personal way each morning and see how your day goes.

Thought for the Day!

You are to be that presence of
Christ to each other.  Love each
other tenderly as Jesus loves each
one of you.  Tender love for each
other speaks much louder than all
the words you can say.  Love until
it hurts; it takes deep sacrifice to
proclaim the word of God.

Thought for the Day!

It is very important that right

live the gospel.  Live and gospel in
prayer; live the gospel in words.
You won't be able to give what

Labor Day

Monday, September 5, 2011

Grandpa and I didn't have to get up and go to work this morning.  Oh!!!! that's right, we are retired.  Although Grandpa has an 8:00 a.m. morning run tomorrow.  He takes the Amish girls to work so Grandma gets up to make him breakfast before his HARD day of work.

This morning we had our pancakes and sausage and for our big meal we had Marie Callender's chicken pot pies.  One pie is suppose to be 2 servings but we each had our own pie.  We had apples and biscuits for our dessert.  I haven't made that dessert forever.  I think tomorrow I might have to swim a few more laps.

Hope you all enjoyed your holiday!  We did.

Thought for the Day!

We could know all possible
knowledge, and all of theology and
all the things about God, but we
would not be able to light a fire in
the hearts of the people.  We could
just be uttering words, not living
those words.  That is why it is
necessary for us that our words be the
fruit of our life, the fruit of our prayers.

Speak

Thursday, September 1, 2011

It was thunder storms today off and on so Grandma had a chance to be in her sewing room.  It's always so peaceful there with a radio station I enjoy listening too surrounded by wonderful projects and fabrics to carry me away.  Who needs Calgon?

Thought for the Day:

God speaks in the silence of the
heart, and we listen.  And then we
speak to God from the fullness of
our heart, and God listens.  And this
listening and this speaking is what
prayer is meant to be: oneness with
God, oneness with Jesus.

Question

Monday, August 29, 2011

I have one question for you today.  What would you like to be doing ten years from now?
Send me an email with your answer or write a comment.  Optional

My answer is:  The same thing I'm doing now.
At my age I would love to be able to do the same things ten years from now.

Thought for the Day!
In the silence of the heart, God
speaks and you have to listen.
Then in the fullness of your heart,
because it is full of God, full of
love, full of compassion, full of
faith, your mouth will speak.

Great Day

Saturday, August 27, 2011

What a wonderful afternoon we had with Erica and Isaac.  They went to Nelson Ledges this morning and came for lunch at our house.  We enjoyed great conversation with them.  It was fun hearing about the life of a law student in school.  I know there will be a couple of pretty smart lawyers that will graduate from Case Western in a couple of years.  It was fun hearing about their hobby of cooking.  No doubt they will be very popular among their friends wanting to sample some of their creative ideas in the recipe world.

It was a gorgeous day weather wise.  There was a car and bike show in Windham at the Renaissance Family Center this afternoon.  Grandma went to help support this benefit because the RFC is a wonderful place for families to come for different events like the car show.  They have after school programs to help kids with their school work and a weight room or gym to play various games.  This is all run by volunteers.  Last night they had 80 kids come in after the football game to hang out and have snacks.  Pool tables and other games have been donated for this purpose.  I should mention that the RFC was a fairly new former elementary school building that went up for auction and is perfect for just this purpose.

Thought for the Day!

The time we spend in having
our daily audience with God is
the most precious part of the
whole day.

Thursday, August 25, 2011

Today proved to be very eventful.  When Grandpa got up this morning before daylight he went out to get the morning paper.  There was a tree in the road that came down from the village property right next to our line.  The fire department came and cut and removed it off the road.  When daylight came Grandpa looked out our big window in the kitchen and seen where we lost a Hugh part of our big maple tree from the storm.  The photos are of the tree.

We planned to go to the Randolph Fair this morning and started out down the road.  There was a large garbage truck facing us and an Amish buggy in front of us.  The garbage truck started up and spooked the horse.  The horse reared up and turned toward the ditch and that's where he and part of the buggy ended up.  Grandpa put the flashers on the car to warn traffic.  The driver of the garbage truck got out and helped the Amish man get the horse and buggy out of the ditch.  Grandpa stopped to thank the man for his help and fortunately he said he grew up around horses and been with them all his life.

We  went on our way to the Fair.  It's been years since we have gone and it was a beautiful day to go.  We enjoyed seeing all our favorite things then left to come home around noon.  We stopped for lunch at McDonalds, (we had coupons) and then shopped at Marc's in Ravenna.

When we came home Grandpa went to get the mail and we had an invitation to an Old-Fashioned Timber Frame Barn Raising gathering on Sept. 10th.  Raising starts at 8 A.M. and lunch will be provided.  The people having it are located up at the other end of Brosius Road.  Grandpa and I have been friends with them for at least 10 years.  They bring us homemade jelly and cookies at Christmas time.  It could be very interesting if we should go.

Yep!  We had a pretty eventful day.

Thought for the Day!

Love begins at home.  Everything
depends on how we love each other.
Do not be afraid to love until it

A Visit

Monday, August 22, 2011

Received a phone call this evening from Erica and she and Isaac will be going to Nelson Ledges this Saturday and are planning to stop by for a visit.  We are totally looking forward to seeing them before their classes start up next week.

Grandpa found a recipe in an Amish cookbook for Zucchini cupcakes he wanted me to try.  He shopped yesterday for ingredients we didn't have so we could make the cupcakes today.  Actually they weren't to bad.  They called for a Carmel frosting which I thought might be a little rich so I made a cream cheese frosting.

Yesterday at church my friend brought me a Hugh bouquet of gladiolas from her garden.  They are breath taking beautiful.  Also some of the people who farm bring their extra produce to the church for us to take home.  That's where I got my HUMONGOUS Zucchini for the cupcakes.  So, I had my bible, flowers and the humongous Zucchini in my arms and had to drive home.  Lets just say I made but I won't go into details how.

Thought for the day:

Our holy faith is nothing but a
gospel of love, revealing to us God's
love for men and claiming in return
man's love for God.  We must spread
God's love on earth if we want to
make souls repent wholeheartedly for
sin, to strengthen them in temptation,
and to increase their generosity and
their desire to suffer for Christ.

Little Child

Sunday, August 21, 2011

It's wonderful to share good news and that is what I have for you tonight.  Steve called and gave us the news that Bob and Alyssa are going to have a baby girl.  Congratulations to their family!

(Alyssa is our son, Steve's, oldest daughter.)

When Bob, Alyssa and Kiersten were here in August they had been given baby clothes from Bob's sister and if I remember right I believe they were baby girl clothes.  Sweeeet!

Thought for the Day!

"Unless you become like a little
child, you cannot enter into
heaven."  And what is being a little
child?  It is having a clean heart, a
pure heart, a heart that holds Jesus,
a heart that can say again and
again, "Jesus in my heart, I believe
in your tender love for me.  I love you."

Family Photo's

Saturday, August 20, 2011

Grandpa was sitting in his favorite chair in the dining room looking at the wall of family pictures today.  I didn't want to interrupt his train of thought but he soon shared it with me as I'm going to share with you.  He said "We have a pretty good family.  All the grandkids seem to be doing very well with their lives" .  Then he said something special about each one.  I just thought you might like to know how Grandpa and of course Grandma feels.

Thought for the Day:

We must know that we have

not just to go for diplomas and
degrees, this work and that work.
We have been created in order to love
and to be loved.

Wonderful Evening

Friday, August 19, 2011

What a wonderful evening we had tonight.  Kathy called and invited us for supper at their house because it was Kyle and Kasey's last day at home before going back to school.  The meal was delicious and great conversation with everyone.  Even Micah was part of the entertainment.  He certainly has grown since we saw him last and I think he still remembered us.  Speaking of entertainment we had the honor being at a piano recital in the Grubbs home with Kyle playing two beautiful pieces and Tori playing one she composed.  Thank you!

NO LIMIT

Wednesday, August 17, 2011

Well Grandma is up and running again.  I was able to send out but not receive email.  I checked with my neighbor who has the same server and she was having the same problem.  This morning everything was working like it should.

Many are getting ready to go back to high school and college.  Work hard and have a great year!  Grandma will be praying for you all.

This message is for Micah.  Micah, how are you getting along with your new fence?  Can't wait to see how much you have grown since we have seen you.  Are you planning on going to school or are you going to be home schooled?

Went to a tupperware party last night and had the best time.  I won the door prize, they replaced my 50 year old two quart measuring pitcher and what I ordered was on sale half price.  Whew Whoooo!  Oh yes, had wonderful snacks to boot.

Something to think about:

There is NO LIMIT to God's love.  It is without measure and its depth connot be sounded.

Prayer

Monday August 15, 2011

I finished reading the book I borrowed from a friend called "Prayer" by Philip Yancey.  It's an excellent read but one you can't just buzz through.  The author illustrated many different kinds of prayer from different people and the last one I read I am claiming for myself.  You may join me if you like.

O gracious and holy Father,
give us wisdom to perceive Thee,
Intelligence to understand Thee,
diligence to seek Thee,
patience to wait for Thee,
eyes to behold Thee,
a heart to meditate upon Thee,
and a life to proclaim Thee;
through the power of the Spirit
of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Quiet

Sunday, August 14, 2011

Grandpa and I watched the play off in the golf tournament this evening.  It was pretty exciting!  I shut the TV off and decided I would like to read my book in the quietness of the night.  Well, Grandpa had the TV on pretty loud in the bedroom watching his show.  I didn't want to tell him to turn it down because I knew he was enjoying the country music.  Someone was having a party in the neighborhood playing loud music and all I could hear was BOOM BOOM BOOM coming through the walls.  I was getting a little frustrated so I found a towel lying on the table next to me and wrapped it around my head to keep out the noise.  Success!  I was able to read in the quietness of the night.

Grandpa and I went to the car show in Garrettsville this evening.  It was a beautiful night and we saw a few friends we haven't seen for awhile.  The cars were amazing and were real classics.  We didn't see Grandpa's old 1950 Chevy he sold but it was fun anyway.  Of course we went and got our hot fudge sundae's at McDonalds and brought them home to watch the Browns and Green Bay play then flipping the channel to see MN twins and Cleveland Indians.

This video was sent to me today from a very good friend and I want to share it with you because I really care and love each and everyone of you.  Any one who is driving or learning to drive or is riding with someone who text while driving should really watch this video.  It's pretty emotional but please take the time to watch this 10 minute video.

Count Your Blessings

Friday, August 12, 2011

Last nights post with the question What would God ask you had me do a lot of thinking.  I hope it did for you also.  I'm not sure I came up with an answer but it sure made me think a lot about some decisions I could be making.  Sorry, those are personal thoughts.

Today, I just couldn't understand why I was being blessed beyond my imagination.  I certainly didn't deserve all that was laid out for me but I sure did appreciate this whole wonderful day.  If I shared everything it would seem like I'm boasting so I'm just going to remain with a thankful heart.  I will share one thing and that's our little 11 year old Amish girl came this evening with a dozen of homemade still warm cookies and zucchini bread that her Mom just baked.  Grandpa and I just had to have one of those cookies and we plan on having the zucchini bread for breakfast.

My question to you tonight is Have You Counted Your Blessings Today?  You might be surprised.

CONGRATULATIONS

HAPPY 7TH ANNIVERSARY STEVE AND TRACY!
Chris, Aaron, Steve, Tracy, Jessica, Alyssa , Samantha
(Steve Sons)                      (Steve's Daughters) Tracy's Dtr.

Psalm 8

O Lord, our Lord,
how majectic is your name in all the earth!

You have set your glory above the heavens.

From the lips of children and infants
you have ordained praise
because of your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.

When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what is man that you are mindful of him,
the son of man that you care for him?
You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings
and crowned him with glory and
honor.

Your made him ruler over the works of
your hands;
you put everything under his feet:
all flocks and herds,
and the beasts of the field,
the birds of the air,
and the fish of the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.

O Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all
the earth!

Hello All,  Grandma is going to take a little break from the blog.  Everything is fine and I'll be back soon.  I have a few things I need to catch up on that requires a little more time.  If something big comes up I will certainly let you all know.  God and I have some serious work to get done.

Love you all,
Grandma

MAKING MEMORIES

What a nice gathering we had today to celebrate Grandpa and Kathy's birthdays.  We even got to meet Micah the newest member to the Grubb's family.  He was a very good puppy and cute as a button.  Looking forward to having him here next week.  LOVE

You have to love the picture of Grandpa in his new hat.  He looks pretty sharp.  LOVE

We wish Steve and Tracy a safe and happy trip to Manassas, Va.  They will be  touring the Lockheed Martin plant and visiting friends.  LOVE

The apostle John wrote: (1 John 4:7-8)
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.  He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

Happy Birthday Kathy

Saturday, July 16, 2011

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATHY
(The photo is the only one that allowed me to save as to our photo's) The picture is a recent one of Kathy and her daughter Tori.

MEMORIES

Let me see!  I think I should try and remember a memory of Kathy today.

I believe Kathy was the first one to ever dance during a mass at the Catholic Church.  She would stand in the isle and sway back and forth when there was music playing.  It's only fair that I tell you she was probably around three years old.  Was I a bad parent?  I would say yes because the people watched her instead of worshiping as they should have been.  But God's Word says:

Psalm 149:3  Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with tambourine and harp.

READ

Friday, July15, 2011

Aunt Shirley saw an obit in the Cleveland PD and emailed us to see if that was their cousin's wife.

If you want to read something very interesting about Grandpa's family then go to www.cleveland.com and scroll down to the obituaries and look for SARAH HOLLISTER BELDEN.  She was married to Grandpa's cousin, Edward George Belden, b March 16, 1925 and d: March 31 1992 in Aurora.  I have that information from the report Dean Belden did for us.  Sarah also known as Sally and led a very interesting life.

Just received good news from Barbara Downing, Tracy's Mom, that she was able to have her chemo treatment today as planned.   She scheduled for another one next Friday.  That is answered prayer.

READ: The most direct source of a Christian's spiritual growth is the Bible.  It must be read regularly because it is our milk and strong meat (1Pet. 2:2;  Heb. 5: 12-14).  It tells us how to live (Ps.  119:105). It is God's word to us today.

1 Peter 2:2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation,

Hebrews 5: 12-14  In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someoneto teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again.  You need milk, not solid food!  Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness.  But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

Psalm 119: 105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

Evangelize

Thursday, July 14, 2011

Birthday celebrations for Kathy and Grandpa will be this Sunday, July 17, 2011  around 1 o'clock and  Pizza at 2 o'clock.  We decided on this weekend because the Grubb's family will be leaving on their vacation July 23rd.  Grandpa and I will be entertained by Micah during that time.  Don't tell anyone but we are looking forward to that week.

MEMORIES
(How Jesus Came Into My Life)

Let's see,  We have had Pray, Obey and Worship and tonight, are you ready for this? Evangelize.

The good news of the gospel is to be shared.  As we tell others what Christ has done for us, we will find ourselves growing by spiritual leaps and bounds (Mt 28:19-20)

Matthew 28: 19-20  (These are Jesus's Words)"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

To Be Continued,
