Hi,  I'm going to make this short.  My blog has a new setup which I need to get familiar with.  Our most recent news is our granddaughter Kasey Grubbs married Jared Graber yesterday, May 19, 2012.  Unfortunately the pictures in our camera did not come out very good.  Grandpa said "It's time for a new camera".  I'm hoping to receive some from family members I could share with you.

I want to say thank you for stopping by and also for your patience.

This is the message on my Mother Teresa Heart of Joy calendar for today:

When suffering comes to us, we
should accept it with a smile,
because it is the greatest gift that
God gives us.  It is a gift to have the
courage to accept everything that he
sends us.

Hi,  It's been awhile since Grandma blogged.  I was surprise to find a whole new layout.  Now I have to learn all over again how to use my blog.

Grandma's been busy with living each day to the fullest.  At my age you begin to see more of your family and friends passing out of this world.  It's sad for those left behind because someone you love and care about is no longer here on earth to share your life with.

I know I'm here for a purpose and that is to reach out and share my love for the Lord, Jesus Christ.  Maybe I can share what Jesus has done for me in my life.  I will pray about it and if it's God's will I will start on my next blog.

I think first I'm going to learn all I can do and not do on this new layout of the blog.

May all who reads this be blessed.

Dave's Time

Tuesday, November 8, 2011
Aunt Shirley sent me Sue's husband, Dave's, time from running the NY marathon.  Looks like he did pretty good.
Dave did fine-his time was 4.20:39. It is pretty congested when they start running. they started at 8:00, but his wave didn't start until 10:40.
Grandma is now officially 70 years old.  It doesn't feel to bad and actually I think I'm doing pretty darn good.  I have so much to be thankful for.
1. Jesus loves me!
2. Grandpa loves me!
3 My family loves me!
WOW! I am Blessed!
Thought for the Day!
The best way to show your
gratitude to God and people is to
accept everything with joy. A joyful
heart is the normal result of a heart
burning with love.

(Tracy is our son, Steve's wife and Alyssa is Steve's oldest daughter)
Today also is cousin Rosemarie's 80th birthday.
The pictures are of our trick or treaters we had tonight.  The family is Lyons, Aaron and Stephanie with their two girls, Emma the princes and Katie the pumpkin.  Cindy our 12 year old Amish neighbor is also in the picture.  She dressed up for Halloween but I'm not sure what her costume is.
The Lyons family live in the house where our neighbor, Bob, use to live.
Thought for the Day!
Lord Jesus,
cleanse us of those personal failings
which diminish our own peace
and the peace of those around us.
Keep our minds and hearts serene
so we may bring peace to all we meet.
We want to witness to peace.

The name describes this video.

Thought for the day:
We are called to withdraw at
certain intervals into deeper silence
and aloneness with God, to be
alone with him, not with our
books, thoughts, and memories but
completely stripped of everything, to
dwell lovingly in his presence: silent,
empty, expectant.

It's a New Year

Hi,  I know it's been awhile since I've written a post but I've waited all year to do this one.  Today my husband, Ralph, and I celebrated our 53rd wedding anniversary.

We had a wonderful day together as we do everyday.  I know it's hard to believe after being married for so long but we not only love each other we like each other.  Best Friends!

A gift from God was our children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and generations to come.  We are Blessed!
Thought for the Day:

We must contemplate God's
constant presence and his tender
love for us in the least little things
of life, and be constantly available
to him, loving him with our whole
heart, whole mind, whole soul, and
 whole strength.

Dog and Cat picture

I loved this picture a friend has on FB.  I just had to share this with you.
Thought for the Day!
Cheerfulness is indeed the fruit of
the Holy Spirit and a clear sign of
the kingdom within.  Jesus shared his
joy with his disciples "that your joy
may be complete" {John 15:11)
Our joy is a work of our generosity,
selflessness, and close union with God.
