Today I took my 91 year old friend, Kathryn, out to lunch for her birthday. Her birthday was in August and she had so many lunch dates for her gifts that I was on the end of the waiting list. We finished lunch and went to visit her 94 year old friend, Marie Dutter, who is now in a nursing home. What a hoot hearing their stories from younger days. These two ladies had so much ENTHUSIASM remembering their days of playing sports. One was a basketball player and the other a baseball player. In their MINDS they were as active as they were in their teens. When it was time to leave we had prayer and Marie slowly closed her eyes to rest. My heart is overwhelmed knowing her days on earth are short.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Nothing great was ever achieved without ENTHUSIASM.
"Therefore, prepare your MINDS for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed."
1 Peter 1:13
Love, grandma
