Good News
Last night we received a phone call from our son, Steve, in MN. His good news was they closed on the sale of his house that had been on the market for 14 months. It's good to be happy for others and share in their good news. This was answered prayer. Thank you Jesus.

CLEANING TIP
This cleaning tip is fantastic if you have animals, live in a dorm, or just have odors you want to eliminate. Arm & Hammer puts out an odor eliminator for carpet & room. It's very inexpensive and leaves your room smelling garden fresh. For maximum odor elimination, sprinkle on entire carpet, wait 15 minutes, then vacuum thoroughly. For best results, use every time you vacuum. Do not use on wet or damp carpets. This can also be used on Upholstered furniture, Automobile carpeting and garbage cans. Try it, you'll like it.

Alyssa
Today I checked my blog and how wonderful to find out my granddaughter, Alyssa, is a follower. I'm looking forward to reading her blog and hearing about the Rades family. Alyssa is our oldest grandchild who is married and living in MN. I am so proud of Alyssa for being an excellent wife to Bob and a caring step mother to Kiersten. Another reason for being a Happy Grandma.

A Good Book
I want to share an excellent book I'm reading called (Torn for the Healing) by C. Brandon Rimmer. Torn for the healing is one of the most tragic yet inspiring and life-enhancing stories of modern times. It is the true story of Dr. Charles B. Sweigard, a young, handsome, intelligent and very successful pediatrician whose life was transformed by an encounter with the living God.

Happy Tuesday, Why not be happy? Today I was asked to do some homework for our Alliance Women at our church. I'm excited about getting started and looking up verses to talk about discipleship. It's good to get the adrenaline flowing to get started. Coffee helps also. The weather called for more snow coming our way which could be sizable. That might be a good time to snuggle down and start reading. Don't you just love it when a plan all comes together?

Today is Monday. Monday's was always my favorite day of the week. Why?? Because I like having a routine. It helps me to get more things done during the day. Every Monday our neighbor, the one who just had his 80Th birthday, comes for coffee. We have a fantastic neighborhood. There are 7 of us who get together once a month for coffee and donuts. We are all there to help each other if there are any needs. Getting back to Mondays, that's the first day I swim in the afternoon. I try to swim 3 times a week doing 80 laps each time. Swimming keeps all my body parts mobile. Well I best get back to my routine which is sending a daily devotion out to my grandchildren by email. I hope you all have a wonderful Monday as I am planning to have.

This is so cool! I have followers: My daughter and granddaughter are reading my blog and now I have some new friends who also are reading. WOW!
Today is Sunday which is quite different then the rest of the week. I've asked my husband to wake me up at 6:30 so I would have time for prayer and devotions. My husband said "why don't you get up at 6:00 to have coffee with me and then do your devotions. Of course I said OK! What a wonderful way to start the day. My husband (grandpa) comes in early with my bathrobe and a kiss on the cheek to wake me up. How could you not get up? It makes a big difference how your day begins.
After breakfast I get ready for Sunday School and church. I come home fix lunch and now it's BLOG time. Let's see, maybe I will quilt, or read, or take a nap. What wonderful choices. For supper grandpa asked for spaghetti. Grandma just can't help but be HAPPY.

First time blogger
Good morning to all,
Today is Saturday and my life begins with fixing a pancake and sausage breakfast, put a load of laundry in, dishes and prayer time. Today I am going to our neighbor's 80th birthday party in the afternoon. Of course I will leave time for my favorite hobby quilting. Also on the agenda is preparing for my Sunday School lesson. I teach 3,4 and 5 year olds. Cute, Cute, Cute. I suppose my blog is very boring but it's a happy life for Grandma.
