Today Grandma made two rhubarb pies, one for the neighbor and one for us. A neighbor came over this morning and brought a banana cream pie for us. All I can say is if your in the neighborhood stop in for pie and coffee.

Grandma might have to start swimming two miles if I keep eating all this pie. Ö

Decisions

I am not very good at making decisions. Really I'm not. Today Grandpa and I went shopping and decided to eat at Subway. That is not the place to go if you don't like making decisions. First of all you have to give them an order, then it's what kind of bread? Do you want it toasted? What kind of cheese? Then we start at all the fixings of veggies. Thinking I'm done and giving a sigh She ask what kind of sauce?
I took my Sub, sat down and unwrapped it and couldn't believe all the fixings I had on it. Was it good? YOU BET!
By the way, Grandpa ordered a personal pizza. Smart man.

Whoopee!!!

Whoopee!!! 10 o'clock last night I put the finishing quilt stitches on a quilt I have been working on (lets say) a long time. I think maybe only quilters can really appreciate the high feeling it is to complete the quilting portion of a quilt. I still have to put the binding on and maybe, just maybe, I will post a picture of the completed quilt. Excuse me but I just have to give another Whoopee!!!

The Happy Grandma is pretty happy today because I spent time with our daughter and granddaughter. Kasey, my granddaughter, is making her boyfriend a special surprise and it was fun being included and having a sneak peek at her surprise for him. I can't share that with you now because just maybe he might read Grandma's blog.
God has truly blessed us with a loving family and we are very thankful for all His gifts.

Happy Mother's Day

I would like to take this opportunity to wish MY Grandmother a Happy Mother's Day. It's because of her I am able to be the Happy Grandma today. My Grandmother raised me and paid the ultimate price of giving up her self. Now that I'm a Grandmother I can understand all what she did for me so now I would like to say Thank You and Happy Mother's Day to Grandma Rose Janka. August 6, 1887 to December 27, 1961
